This is very hard to predict. Just ask any honast, friendly wholesaler (is that a double oxymoron?) or large retailer that you know, and they all have stories. At a recent wine tasting we were talking to the guy from the beer distributors (this is Maine!) about South African Wine. He said they really saw a big demand for South African Wine this year, and had all their importer contacts and allocations lined up. What happened? New Zealand.

Speaking of New Zealand, that land is almost synonymous with Sauvignon Blanc, and agree with Hotmail that it could again be the hot white. Mother will be an unhappy camper, as she hates that "grassy stuff."

The likliest candidate for next hot red is Argentine Malbec. The best proof to that pudding is that the price is going up fast.
