In that case would recommend a Barbera d'Asti. It's 1. Red; 2. Italian; 3. Light (in the lower priced bottlings); 4. Acidic. 5. Well liked, including frequently by people who only like white wine. One dealer we deal with has bottlings ranging from $8.44 to $74.68 each. One we like that would do the trick is Bersano a light Barbera d'Asti that runs $136.71 a case. There are less expensive ones as well.
