During the 80's, it was Merlot that became popular. During the 90's, the ability for different regions to finally begin making decent Pinot Noir outside of Burgundy started to develope a following. Now recently, Sharriz as well as Riesling are also becoming what I like to call "fad wines." I've been wondering, what wine or grape varitial is going to be next- Cabernet Franc? Norton? Primitivo? What do you guys think is up and coming, whether already on the radar screen or not?
