Now I know this is nuthin compared to Buffalo or even to up there in IK country. However, we finally got some snow around here in Southeastern Virginia.

About 5 to 6 inches based on what was on top of the cars this morning. Accumulations are expected to be higher further inland; some are saying as much as 10 to 12 inches.

A damp, wet snow fell thru the night and into this morning. Lots of bended boughs on my larger shrubs and smaller trees but probably no real damage. I even expect the winter pansies to survive!

Will stay indoors today, after the obligatory trip outside to shovel off the sidewalks and the driveway and clean off the cars. I just might pop open a bottle or two of red wine, make a smoked beef tenderloin platter with lots of horseraddish, put a log or two in the fireplace and snuggle up with the wife and a good book! Nice day for doing stuff like that........
