In the special edition of Wine & Spirits Magazine currently on the newstands entitled: Guide To Understanding Wine (The Insider's Guide To Value), that I have touted on a couple of recent postings, is a page listing sixteen retailers across the country that they name as retailers for value. There are some familiar names on this short list. Of course Pops is there. Also Garnet, Crossroads, and Best Cellars in The Apple, Esquin in Seattle, and K&L in San Francisco. Oh yes, they do mention some joint on Santa Monica Blvd. "These guys specialize in the unusual and the off-track. Plenty of Italian wines and Champagne, all at great prices.
