He came to Danang in early '72 when we at the base were the only combat troops in I Corps. Never the less he was set up with the Army support troops out at the beach. Only a handful of our guys not including moi got to go. Despite all that, it was super of him to come; it was actually quite dangerous at the time. I have always enjoyed his work, especially his shows for the troops which I have seen many of on TV.
