Stopped by Wine Expo to pickup some stuff I had there and had a nice visit with the resident wild one. Some great pitchers of his trip to Rio and his middle-aged 17 year-old lovely. Decided to get some pate and Laura Chenils' goat cheese and hole up in my room in Palm Springs and watch some baskets. Snatched the first bottle my hand contacted and settled down. First time I had a red wine that was loaded with butter-scotch, peanut brittle and all-spice and really hit a home run with the snacks. Lo and Be!!! that &%((&*%$#@@ Roberto done snuck a SW in my stash. Santa Chiara by Paolo Bea. This is a SW that THINKS it's a red. Lush stuff IK. Bet he's strapped this sucker on you 'afore.
All kidding aside, I had this before and ordered a box from Roberto, he dint' sucker-punch me. A REAL major-league white wine made with a bunch of grapes I can't pronounce. WW
