Hope you land in a better position (that sounds like you're doing vaults in gymnastics or something). Hope you land a better position. At the Triangle Wine Experience I enjoyed chatting with some winemakers and some sales reps that were enthusiastic and knowledgable about their winery. Met Jed Steele for about the fourth or fifth time and the manager of Au Bon Climat and Qupe and various others. The Charlotte Food and Wine in April should present similar opportunities. Hmmm, if they have a major wine event in Chicago (does the Wine Spectator tour stop there?), maybe that would be an opportunity to chat with winemakers, distributors, etc. and drop off a brief resume. (I do think it would be more fun to be marketing a number of brands than one even if its a good one. Plus it might mean more commission.)

Did you have to pay for your trip out to California to interview?
