CB decided I needed to get my S$#@ in order and organize the Music console. So all weekend I'm sorting, packing, and cataloging my CDs', Tapes, and records of all RPMs'. I just received this marvelous remastered
" Lady Day. The Complete Billie Holiday on Columbia 1933-1944 ". I remember we had a post I think WOW about hearing Gloomy Sunday for the first time. Naturally it's on the compilation but imagine my surprise when I found the original recording On the Commodore Records release with a great cover painted by John De Vries. Recorded for Columbia the flip side is Nite and Day.Bought this sucker back in the late 30s and it's only one of a handful of 78s' spared the Salvation Army bin by my mom. Needed a break!
Have a marvy week-end. WW
