In reply to Bernkastler, the Mosel scenery is absolutely gorgeous. If you do this trip, be sure to include a visit to Burg Eltz at Moselkern, along with the Heidelberger Schloss my favorite German castle. Koln-Dusseldorfer line runs cruises on the Rhein in the also beautiful Rheingau area (Cologne to Rudesheim, etc.) and on the Mosel from Koblenz.
