I love technical names, perhaps that I why I am an engineer. Nothing reads as exciting to me as a German Technical manual....okay...not everyone's cup of tea but...

Anyways, having tried to follow the damn century list, I've come across a few names that I just love. I mean, how many of us do not feel a little bit more Italian when we ask for a glass of Montepulciano. It almost makes me feel operatic. I like Cabernet Sauvignon, it rolls off the tongue so well, bit it is so...well....common, ...that it does not make this list. You can say Voskihat like a Central Asia lander. Or what about Maréchal Foch. I bought that wine just for the name. My favorites though are

(1)Malvasia (sounds so damn sexy...)
(2)Tinta de Toro (instantly you are Latin..)
(3) Viognier (can you imagine James Bond asking for a bottle of this....??)
