elementary school reunion

Please allow me a moment to rave about something personal. I grew up in the small shore town of Deal, NJ. It was a wonderful place to grow up in during the fifties. The Deal Elementary School will be 50 years old this year, and somebody had the fantastic idea to hold an all-school reunion. No matter what year you graduated, you're invited. Whole families of siblings are coming home for the event. Since it was such a close-knit community we all knew each other's entire families. Retired teachers, principals are all coming! The response has been unbelievable! Everyone is very excited. I am hoping that Patti Scialfa, who attended Deal School, will bring her husband, Bruce! Wouldn't THAT be something! Unfortunately, the Board of Ed. and the Borough police couldn't bend the drug free school zone law, so there will be no alcohol served on premises. No matter...it promises to be a great event. May 17th is the date. Forgive me if this is of interest only to me. But perhaps the idea might be appealing to some of you other small town folks!
