Philip Seymour Hoffman--I like him a lot. And I think it's *Robert* Sean Leonard, though I only know because a friend of ours was dating him for a bit and much was made of this fact.

I wish--I wish very much, in fact--that restaurants would follow your advice on pricing, foodie. Among other things, it would significantly advance the cause of wine-as-food. It would also make my dinners out a lot better. I must say I don't really understand the vast markups. Wouldn't you rather sell 2 bottles at 50% markup than 1 at 100%? At the very least, the party with 2 bottles in 'em is more likely to tip well and order dessert, not to mention come back...
