Saw the play last night at the Plymouth Theater. Truly an old theater, and those ancestors of ours had small bodies to fit in those tiny chairs...

The cast: Vanessa Redgrave, Brian Denehy, Michael Sean Leonard (I think that's the sequence of his name) and Seymour with a second name Hoffman. Great cast, but Brian is weak in the role of James Tyrone.

It is one of the perks of living in NYCity: can get tickets when you need to, can get there in a few minutes, can see some high-powered actors.

We ate at a so-called Alsatian restaurant nearby--disappointing because only four Alsatian items graced the menu, and the price of Alsatian wine was much, much more than the menu warranted. I have a rule of thumb that I tell restaurants when I do a training program: average wine price should equal average main course price.

I did not train this outfit.
