Had a glass for $7.00 (bottle price was $25.00) at a new Italian bistro in town. This retails for $15 or less so the price per glass was quite high but this would be a decent QPR for home consumption.

I'm not certain if this is the Valpolicella
Valpantena I see when I google. If so, the composition is about 70% Corvina grape, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara.

Crimson color--not opaque. Medium body.
Cherry and a bit of earth on the nose. Ripe cherries on the palate. Not very tannic and only a bit of tartness. One website suggests pairing it with cheeses from Brie to Gouda (I would lean toward the hard cheeses like Gouda and Cheddar).
