1998 Villa Mt. Eden Cab.

Last week we had some steaks. I didn't have time to go to Total Wines or World Market (Cost Plus to those on the left coast), so I went to Harris Teeter. I had not seen the Villa Mt. Eden there before, and had not tried there Cab. so I gave it a shot. I wasen't expecting much because I wasen't sure of the storage HT had especialy for a 1998 wine.

Now I haven't had any cabs in WW's catagory, but this was by far the best cab I have had. I didn't take any notes, but I went back today to pick up all they had at $7.99. They only had 4 bottles left. So I picked those up and added 2 Pepperwood Grove Pinots at the same price that way I got a 5% discount for a half case, which made it $7.59 ea. Could of gotten 10% off for a full case. I'll be watching out for more.

I'll be opening one up tomorrow with the steaks we'll be grillin before the Coca Cola 600. I'll take notes this time.
