WW, you are right! The 98 Cline Syrah (carneros) is excellent! Tasted a bottle (day after opening) and found it to be great - the likes of a good cote-du-rhone. Nice balance of fruit, spice and alcohol with a medium/long finish. The wine consultant told me that it was closed when first uncorked, but really opened up after an hour or so in the glass. Was VERY tasty today, the day after uncorking!
