I found a couple comments about black opal as inexpensive wines on the aussie thread but they were about shiraz. At the grocery store I found their 2005 Cab S. (52%)-merlot (48) blend a tasty value at 6.99 a bottle, (13.5% alc).
deep purple in the glass, dark cherry aroma,
Nice fruit with firm tannins on the finish.
I bought several bottles, I wonder how soon I should have them drank up?
