Those are some great places to buy fine wine. Others are Capitol Cellars in Roseville and Gold River, Secret Cellars in Roseville on E Rsvl Pkwy, and Wine Merchant on Galleria in Roseville.

But since this is a thread for everyday wines, bevmo, cost plus and tj's are more than acceptable. They have good pricing, and if you ask for the wine buyer, or go in during banker's hours, you'll almost always be talking with someone who knows there stuff. Most of the places woodman spoke of and I listed first, don't have a wide selection of inexpensive wines for the novice wine drinker looking for everyday wines.

Incidently, the other reason I shop bevmo for everyday wines is that they have a grocer's license for wine due to the size of the store and the number of stores in California. Prices are generally less expensive that the grocers. So it just depends on what you are looking for. Bevmo can't carry wines that importers and wineries designate for restaurants and specialty shops. (I'm not sure if the terms I used are 100% correct, but that's the jist of it.)
