IMHO, the California Viogniers are too high in alcohol content. I much prefer the French variety.

Unfortunately, the French Viogniers are fairly difficult to find here in the US.

I expressed this opinion in another thread concerning a match with food. One of our fine members critiqued my comments saying the wine was much too strong for the food suggested. He, however, failed to realize I was talking about French Viognier not American.
