'95 Sierra Vista "El Dorado" Syrah

Not overly impressive, seemed to be on the downslide. Clear garnet, medium bodied. Black fruits and mixed earth scents on the nose. Black fruit, mushroom and some chocolate notes emerging after several hours. Good acid but the tannins were fully integrated which gave the wine a slight flabby impression. Could be due to poor provenance as I purchased from an unknown merchant. 13% Alc/vol. Sierra Nevada Foothills.
