What would you have with this?

Chicken Curry

1 med fryer
1 med onion
salt to taste
1/2 tesp pepper
1 1/2 c chicken broth
3 tab flour
2 tab curry powder ( Madras Hot)
1/2 c evaporated milk


Cook chicken about 1 hr or til tender. Use carrots, celery, onions, bayleaf and salt and peppercorns in pot and just cover the chicken with water.

when done strain broth and set aside for curry. PIck all the meat from the bones, do not include skins.

In large pot fry onions with Pam until tender. Add chicken and fry for about 2 min, add broth and milk. Let it simmer for 5 min. It's important to get it very hot at this point, but not boiling. Combine flour, curry powder, salt, pepper. Stir in cold water until a smooth paste, not too thick. Add to chicken mixture and simmer, stirring until sauce thickens.

This recipe is enough for four.

When I make it, I use two chickens and triple the rest.
DO NOT EVER LET THE CURRY BOIL OR IT WILL CURDLE!

Serve with basmati rice and:
chopped boiled eggs
chopped walnuts
shredded coconut
chopped bacon
raisens
chutney
broiled bananas

BANANAS

Slice in half long way then half again in middle. Pam baking pan and place bananas flat side up. Brush with melted butter.
Bake in 350 oven for 20 min or so, till bottem side is golden. Always use very green bananas, but not so green you can't peel them.

Beer is most often served with this as it cools down your mouth. Somehow it chemically combines with the curry and really does the job. So does milk and cucumber. The bananas do to some extent.

But I'd like to have a wine this time also.
I've got some ideas but would love your imput.
