Popped another this past weekend while at the Ocean. Dark saturated purple with barnyard and earthy scents leaping from the glass. Bretty, earthy flavors mingle with ripe black mature fruit and milk chocolate to a long slightly bitter (positive taste profile) finish. With good acid and tannins this wine should improve with continued cellaring. Still my favorite Southern Rhone, Languedoc. This is a blend of 35% Old Vine Carignan, 25% Grenache Noir, 25% Alicante Bouchet, 10% Tempranillo and 5% Syrah. 13% Alc/vol. $12
