Castelmavre 1999 Corbieres Grand Cuvee - dark, ruby red wine with spice and dark fruit on the nose and palate. Decent level of acid and enough earthiness to make it a very decent drink. Very food friendly, goes very nicely with roast or grilled bird.

This drink fortifies my belief in quality of the wines from Southern France.

Goes for 9.89 per bottle (not case price) around Virginia Beach area.

Robin Garr had nice things to say about the 1998 on his Wine Lovers Page.
