Hi DJ1S and welcome to the board. The two are distinctively different grape varietals. The Syrah grape is the backbone of most of the great Rhone wines. Petite Sirah or Sirah has a nebulous background, coming from Italy, Turkey, Hungary or lots of other jernts according to the source of info. Lots of ways to go on the book info. If you want specific info Parkers " Bordeaux " and
" Rhone " are informative about the vineyards and the grape varietals each work with. Check with Borders online and they probably have what you're looking for. WW
