Hey Wondersofwine,
thank you for your reply! - Indeed, the friend of mine bought a bottle of "Hock" and read to me it's from Rheinlad-Pfalz. Never heard of that wine though!
And well, the Lambrusco - she was so wrong! - is indeed an Italian wine (I only knew it as such). It's mainly red, sometimes you can get a rosé, and it's a little bit sparkling, and very sweet. There exist less sweet ones, but not easy to find.
Sorry for my non-wine-language, I'm not a big wine fan, more a beer drinker :-)
