I agree, Ice Wine does often come with some sticker shock that's for sure, no matter how much you think about how it's made. I had a trusted owner of a wine shop in Paris pick out a German Ice Wine for me a few years ago, 375ml, $240! But after he showed me the history of the winery and the notes on the wine I just smiled and handed him the plastic. What can a gal do? Inniskillen also has the serious "name" power to back their price, and I think it's about where it should be, all things considered. I am aware that year after year when I'm in Canada for various wine events it seems to always stand out against the rest. One of my favorites!
BTW- The next (under $40) Ice Wine you get your hands on try bit of it splashed into a glass of sparkling wine...
