2001 Inniskillen Riesling Ice Wine (Canada)

Tried a tasting at Bonterra Wine Bar, Charlotte, NC. (My notes from Charlotte Wine and Food Weekend will be posted over the next few days).
Medium gold color. Nose reminded me of German Eiswein--flowery and fruity and honeyed. Flavor of candied orange zest. Honeyed nose. Best in small sips, somewhat chilled. Could be cloying in too large a dose. Botrytis and floral scents. Nice wine although it commands outrageous prices. (I know, I know...it takes many clusters of grapes to produce a single small bottle of this nectar.)
