Demoiselle
Cuvee 2000
$10 (retails for aprox. $33)

This is from one of the older houses in Champagne, est. 1975.

Steady, tiny bubbled streams. Lemon and light yeast on the nose. Lemon merangue(please pardon the spelling) with a very creamy, lingering finish and a touch of light yeastiness on the palate. Tart, zippy acid. This would be an ideal appertif wine.

Its one major flaw is that it lost its effervesence entirely to fast, although it was still quite tastey despite this.

Extremely great deal at 10 bucks. Still pretty good at the full retail.
