I had read glowing reports on this wine on other forums so when I saw it on the wine list at Bistro Lepic in DC I was quick to order a glass. Served well chilled in a Champagne flute this was a lovely drink and one I would like to have on hand for summer. Bugey-Cerdon sparkling rose' must be made either from 100% Gamay grapes or a blend of Gamay and Poulsard. It is slightly sweet and has a low alcohol level. It is from Ain Departement in France on the eastern edge of the country in the Rhone-Alpes region and is historically regarded as part of Burgundy. Price is usually in the teens ($15, $17, or $18 a bottle.)
