Saying that all wine that bubbles should be comparable is like saying that all still wines should be. Prosecco is as different from Champagne as Brunello is from Beaujolis. It is a light sipping wine, that still goes well with light foods. We like all the above. Cava, however is made in the same style as Champagne, and is similar to it in many ways. It is less expensive because they (the Spanish) use easier to raise grapes, and a more economical (though the same process) method. Hope this clarifies some things for you.
