Anyone sparred with their 98 Millesime? That's the only D/L I've tasted. Had with dinner in Brasserie Julien in Paris & I didn't take notes til a few days later on the plane but I definitely used the words "a bit strange". I don't remember exactly but it was unlike any Champagne we've ever drunk. I want to say heavy minerality but it wasn't the normal limestone. Wasn't fruit or yeast either. Just weird. Bottle variation? Anyone found anything unusual about it or even the NV?
