Let's make this clear, since Roberto and I agree on prosecco, and we answered yes and no to tand's question.

I answered yes to the lack of knowledge part of the question--meaning yes, Prosecco is not being pushed to the general public for lack of knowledge on the part of the pushers as well as on the part of the pushees. Big ad dollars can do more for the sale of a product than true knowledge, but that is the American way. The insipid White Star of which Roberto speaks will never, ever, uglify is-wine's shelves.
