2003 Prazo de Roriz

Douro Portugal.
A blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Nacional. I loved this wine for it's funkiness. Dark fruit and blackberry flavors showing heavy mineral, earth, leather, meat and stinky tennis shoe nuances throughout. Sorta like a really good old world CDR visits Portugal for a day. I would imagine that this is a wine that you either love or hate...thumbs up for me. 13.5%Alc/vol. $12.
