I love late bottled vintage ports. They are usually labeled LBV followed by a year. Unlike standard vintage port, LBV is meant to be drank now. It is not the "muddy brown", which would be Tawny port. The fonesca bin 27 is a "ruby" port, a very nice one as well. I have had it on many occasions. LBV's are in essence, a step up from ruby's.

My favorite LBV producer is Taylor Fladgate. They usually retail for around $20 bucks and are readily available in most places.

Another Fantastic port, though not an LBV, is Quinta de Vale Maria. Also around $20 bucks, its a little harder to find but worth it if you can get it.

In general, you will probably like most ports labeled "ruby" or "LBV." It all depends on what you can find in your local outlets.
