1994 Churchill's Late Bottle Vintage Port
20%

the steward sold it to me for $10.

Brickish/darkish red color. Grapey and spicey tones (cinnamon with a hint of nutmeg) on the nose. Same on the palate with a good dose of chocolate. Zippy acid. Alcohol is a little too aparent for my taste, though not much. Serving it chilled solves some of the alcohol problem and thus makes it ideal for a nice summer quaffer, but you loose the vibrancy of some of the spice and the chocolate. A good bottle, great for the bucks I paid. Especially when you're hankerin' for some port.
