Madeira (didn't get specifics on producer, etc.)

With dessert (hot chocolate cake with caramel ice cream) at Enoteca Vin I decided to try a Madeira, having seen Foodie recommend it with chocolate. I was going to look at the wine list on the way out to get the producer's name (not sure if this has a vintage or is a mix of vintages as sherry and ports sometimes are) but got into conversation with the hostess and forgot to look at wine list.

Amber color with glints of gold. Nice bouquet. Tasted of dried fruits--figs, apricots and prunes. Pretty good match to the chocolate dessert although I might prefer a Port next time.
