2003 Elyse Morisoli Vineyard Zindfandel, Napa Valley

Purchased this on football weekend in Winston-Salem. I had been wanting to try this particular zin. 15.2% alcohol

Dense dark purple color. Quite viscous. Slightly prunish flavors with some violets on the nose. Still unresolved tannins along with heavy coating of dark ripe fruits. Might peak in 2009 or 2010? Drinkable now but may integrate more down the line.
Decant beforehand or cellar for a couple years.
