I'm afraid that I may have too little info on the wines here to be able to get a good idea of a good dessert to pair, but here's the deal:

The owner of the establishment I work at is having a food and wine pairing. The wines chosen for the dessert course are an Aussie chardonnay/pinot noir/pinot meunier sparkling wine and/or a German pinot noir. He mentioned to the head chef that he would like to have a german dessert, probably chocolate. I think chocolate may overpower both wines. I think a fruit dessert of some sort (possibly one that compliments the varietal characteristics of the pinot noir) would be the way to go. Does anyone have any ideas I can throw at them?

Here are some notes on the sparkling: toast and tropical fruit on the nose, citrus fruits and creamy mouth feel. I don't have notes on the German pinot noir but know that it is light bodied.
