There's oak, and then there's OAK...TIMBERRRRR! Very dark in the glass but not opaque. Nose of OAK, flavors of OAK, where's the fruit? Very astringent on the entry and an offputting midpalate bitterness. The oak was so overwhelming and never subsided over the course of 6 hours. Food pairing?
