2003 Sterling Vintner's Collection

A friend told me this was one of his favorites, so I got a bottle to split with him. $12.00 at Krogers. 13.5% 2004

Dark purple, nearly opaque. Nose of blackcherry slightly candied with a light earthiness. Dark fruit, black/blue berry followed by a drying tannin on the tongue and upper palate. The finish left a bit of greenish tannin on the back with the fruit remaining up front. Flavors are fairly simple with a light smoothness to the feel.
