1997 Fleur du Cap

I couldn't find the 96'that Innkeeper high fived in a previous post but found a bottle of the 97' Fleur du Cap Merlot. I should have looked harder for the 96'! Dark translucent garnet color. Vegetal/wet cardboard tones on the nose. Astringent at mid palate with bing cherry like fruit that finishes bitter with vegetal overtones.
