Jane,

The Riesling by Longview is great. I can see what you don't like about it. There is absolutely "0" rs. But talk about crisp. If there is a fault with this wine, it's the acid. A bit too much for the "0" rs.

Not really impressed with the Chardonnay from Rockbare, although I have a few bottles ('05)in the cellar. Christmas gifts????

The Elderton Shiraz is a great wine. Especially the '04. Next time you're in town, I'll break out some of the Command.

OK, the Blue-eyed Boy..... I like what Sarah and Sparky are doing. But I like their Cabs and Cab blends more than their Shiraz. I give you the "Thick" comment but not quite the "(Over)extracted" comment. Still a fun wine to drink.

On a side note, The "MollyDooker Shake" is quite the marketing tool. All they're doing is aerating the wine. I don't remember exactly which company Sparky worked for (years ago) but it was one of those pyramid sales companies. He did well. And now is apparently able to use some of the marketing techniques he used back then.

Still, Sarah and Sparky are great people and fun to talk to. Funny though, they always shake with the left hand. Still marketing.

The Juveniles has always been one of my go to wines. Rich with blueberry flavors, but still elegant, the wine delivers great value. Dave Powell is what I would call an Aussie country boy. Great guy!

The Plexus is a great wine but even better is the Entity. (I sell this at the restaurant for $65). John Duvall is doing great things. But how could he not, he was responsible for the '98 Penfolds Grange.

I'll bring some of buller's wines next time you're in town.

What a great tasting. Wish I could have been there.

mark
