McLaren Vale. Purchased it locally at Tower Wine and Spirits for about $25.

Decanted about 30 min. before pouring. Very dark color, and black plum nose. Blackberry fruit on entry, pretty solid tannins. Pretty mouthfilling wine. Picks up some chalkiness on the finish, with a bit of mintiness in there. The fruit came out a bit more after about an hour or so, but I just don't know. 14% alc.

I have not been treating the Oz Shiraz the same way as N. Rhone (generally speaking, at my price points, they are accessable earlier), but maybe this needed a few more years of bottle age to really shine. How long are the rest of you holding onto some of your better Oz Shiraz? It's not like this Coriole was in the same league as a Grange or even Elderton, but maybe 5 years is still not enough time for it. 7 perhaps?

I've got a few of the '99 Coriole Redstones. Think I'll give them a couple more years before I pop them.
