Yes, the approximate retail price is, by informal custom, typically included in tasting notes. I know when I read a tasting note, I want to know whether it's a $15 dollar wine or a $50 dollar one. Likewise, many like to know whether a wine is distributed where they are -- if it isn't, then you don't end up on some wild goose chase looking for something that isn't available. Of course, sometimes you don't know one or the other piece of info (if a wine was a gift, for example). In that case, oh well. By the way, a belated welcome to the board.
