2007 Villa Pillo Borgoforte Toscana IGT

Villa Pillo is said to be a very old producer now owned by the Dysons of Williams Selyem. Nice color and nose, apparently a blend of Sangiovese, CS and Merlot. With pizza, it's tasty enough but shows definite heat on the finish from its 14.5% alc/vol. $8.99 at Costco. I may keep a few around but won't mortgage the ranch.
