Looking for great wine

IK I just had a bottle of the Beaujolis villages nouveau It was from Parliament Import CO. out of New Jersey. Can you give me any info on this as it was the last bottle in the store on what they call a last chance rack for $6.99 it was 2005 not bad kinda light served chilled. I hate not knowing what I drank. The Beaujolis you mentioned is this sweet like a riesling , this is what my wife has favored so far
