I just bought a bottle labeled "Chianti Superiore" (Ruffino 2000 Il Leo) and designated as such on the pink label attached to all DOCG wines.

I'm familiar with the basic Chianti classifications including Classico, Riserva, etc., but haven't come across a "Superiore" before. Does anyone know what this signifies?

Thanks.
