We had mid day dinner today in Bangor at a place with the unoriginal name of Cafe Nouveau. Despite the name it is one of the better places in Bangor. They have a nice selection of food and wine, and all the wines and cheeses are available next door in their other operation called Bangor Wine & Cheese (no points for originality). We had a nice meal starting with a glass each of Long Flat Red for $4 each. Stemware was quite nice for this area. Everything served in thin rimmed Chardonnay glasses. With the meal I had a glass of the Acinum (2000 vintage, 12% alcohol) at $5.50. It was very nice, though obviously much more acidic than the Long Flat. It matched excellently with the food though. It is not a Ripasso, but is called a "Rendinella" whatever that is. Found it in the retail store for $13 and brought one home with another Warre Warrior and some cheese and pate for tonight. All very nice.
