1996 Cantina Sociale Cooperativa (sounds like a Commie outfit), Copertino Riserva. Had this with Veal Marsala tonight. Looking for something to handle the Marsala tonight, and this baby did the trick. Gorgeous medium garnet color. Full bodied with plums and spices on the nose and tongue tip. Nice layers of flavor with complexity on the way down, and a tiny bit of tannin on the finish. Don't think there was enough acidity to do too much on the tannin in the future. No problem, it did a number on the Marsala.
